But she picked herself up, became a badass who crushes monsters with her fists and yet has a good heart. And the efforts she puts forward in the later half and the lifestream just made her a character that I'll always appreciate.
There are a lot of good characters in FF7. It isn't hard for any of them to become a person's favourite. And Tifa isn't lacking on reasons either. Real courage is when you surpass your own desires to protect something dear.. She is a hot chick in a short skirt that punches things. That's why I love her. All the ladies love Holden Mcgroin. User Info: RoyMustang I like her -Character design boobs not included -Personality traits -powers because screw swords -Character interactions.

User Info: RebornKusabi RebornKusabi 2 years ago 11 I played FF7 for literally the first time a couple of years ago, getting a platinum trophy for it I did NOT intend getting, and to me, I liked Tifa because she felt like the most developed character.
Make no mistake- she was pure anime archetype, but she was still developed more than most of the cast. It helps that she's basically around for the entire game. So is Barrett but FF7 Remake throws it at you right out front, with Jessie asking about their relationship in Chapter 1 before you even meet Tifa.
Then you get to Sector 5 and all the passerby are commenting about how "purty" Tifa is. But he does manage to get it together for two seconds and give her a flower. It all takes me back to those awkward tween feelings for sure. Corey Plante: I love how much time is invested into fleshing out the Avalanche members.
He plays lovable doofus so well. I will never forget the moment when Jessie playfully slapped his bare ass after he's bitten by one of the evil Shinra dogs. FF7 Remake is saucy! Remake is able to do a lot more in terms of contextualizing their complicated past. It really feels like two people who are attracted to each other but are unsure of how to reconnect after all this time apart.
And Tifa's abs steal every scene! She also uses a dude as a footstool at one point. Barret has definitely gotten a well-deserved glow-up in FF7 Remake. Big daddy indeed. The whole Honey Bee Inn sequence feels very Yakuza 0 in the best possible way.
Grumpy Cloud getting catcalled by drunks in a poofy ballgown will never not be funny. I love how he seems so cool on the outside but is actually an insecure dork at heart.

User Info: MonkeyMaster When you Pick a fight with a devil, You better be Stronger than hell. For some it is the "plot" and for others it is because whether or not you see so in the writing she is a caring and sisterly character that genuinely cares for Cloud and his well-being and is just abrasive because she doesn't want to fully express her true feelings. I don't personally see all of that but some people also just like when people are able to seemingly by the naked eye punch building sized creatures into oblivion.
User Info: Rhift. It might be kind of a cop out answer, but I like pretty much everything about her. I like her design. It's simple, but is still unique enough for her to stand out as a very iconic video game character. In fact, I feel that way about most of the cast. None of them feel over-designed the way a lot of JRPG characters often are.
And yes, her being attractive helps. It feel like I can't point that out without people thinking that's the only reason to like her. It's not the only reason, but it is a reason. Gameplay-wise, she's fun. There's little in the game that is more satisfying than getting all "Yeah! Story-wise, I like her personality and role in the story. Despite being curvy and having a sort of skimpy outfit, she's more reserved and introverted, but not to the point that she becomes a shy girl anime stereotype.
The love triangle between Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa is one of the most well done that I've seen. I typically hate love triangles, but the one in FF7 works for me.
I like how her relationship with Cloud is handled. They clearly care for each other, but no romance happens for most of the game.
